Today's post is dedicated to my Grammy Babe. Born Ruth Delores Booker Bryant. Better known to some as "Detroit Red." The woman who taught me how to be a lady. How to paint with food coloring, flour and makeshift brushes in her lemon yellow kitchen on the Parkway. The woman who taught me "Cool Goes A Long Way." The woman who scrubbed my knees, my face and would make a greek salad out of my scalp. At the time, my 7 year old self told me that this was torture. "Why won't she let me alone!??!?" I would think to myself. But now, I think, "Thank Goodness for Home Training!" Thanks Grammy Babe for being fly as I don't know what and all around class act. I love you, I'll be home soon to see you and just hold your soft, sweet hand and see your beautiful smile.
OMG what a great tribute to your family!!!! LOVE this :)
